Fannys AWO RS 250/1 Replika

At the Simson factory in Suhl there was a small team that looked after the AWO as a race machine. Based on the production model, the 12 BHP  named „Touren-AWO“, they developed a race machine. The first small series of 15 machines called „RS 250/1“.

Using original engineering drawings and original parts Fanny´s husband Mario produced this replica. As it should be for a race bike Fanny uses it exclusively for Classic Events, for example the Czech TT in Horice or the ADMV Classic Cup. This machine will appear on The Mountain course on The Isle of Man on Monday 29th August 2016 as part of the Classic TT Lap of Honour parade lap.
